This Burning Age are an alt-electro-rock band from Birmingham, U.K. consisting of Friday (vocals, guitar, synths and samples), Anth (guitar, keyboard, backing vocals and samples), Jack "Penko" Josypenko (drums and percussion) and Russ Harris (bass guitar).

This Burning Age officially came into being in the summer of 2007 when Friday decided to move away from the collaborative projects he had previously been involved with to focus on writing and performing his own material. By September of the same year he had started recording what was to become the 10 track album "A Muzzle For The Masses" at James Brede Studios in Wolverhampton (with Friday writing, arranging and performing everything on the album).

During the summer of 2008, towards the end of the recording process, Friday decided it was time to recruit band members with a view to putting together a live show. After the inevitable false-starts and line-up changes, the end of 2008 saw the final line-up firmly cemented. So far 2009 has seen their profile rise considerably. DJ and Television presenter Alex Zane selected them for his radio show in January, playing "Panic (Bring on the Bomb)". This was followed by Kerrang Radio's Emma Scott playing "Human Condition" at the end of February and every week throughout March on her Saturday night "RAW" show. This culminated in them being asked to open for established Alt-Rock stalwarts "Hundred Reasons" on the Birmingham leg of their UK tour at the O2 Academy 2 at the end of March, a night held in association with Kerrang. After recently taking on Management, the band are now booking gigs and festivals throughout the UK and into Europe with a short German tour planned for spring
2010.
